Meet the Team

Michael started his hospitality career at The Madison Concourse Hotel, working in the association sales manager position and moved in the University and Government Market. He gets to work with an amazing team of collaborative sales and catering experts, focusing on providing exceptional service for over 15 years at the hotel.

Michael takes the time to listen to each client, really taking the time to hear the unspoken needs and helping to create amazing conferences and events. He strives to come up with creative solutions to challenges and facilitate new ideas into challenge.

With an extensive background in hotel operations, Kelly can partner with associations to design the best event experience. She sells guestrooms and meeting space for State, National, and Associations business. For twelve years at this hotel, Kelly has shared a vision of building strong partnerships to ensure attendees have a flawless experience where they are comfortable, fully engaged, and immersed in Madison’s culture.

Kelly demonstrates a perfect balance of critical thinking and innovation, also keeping abreast of the current trends and the future of meetings. She believes in the power of Associations and loves sharing Madison’s vibrant downtown culture with guests.

Mary is a detailed, confident, and direct multitasker who is highly organized and able to go with the flow. Mary coordinates the majority of the large conventions at the hotel prior to group arrival and coordinates all room setups, Audio Visual, and Food and Beverage for conventions.

She worked for 14 years as banquet manager which helps her understand the space capabilities that this hotel has to offer. In working with Audio Visual on the daily, she is extremely A/V savvy as a bonus. She is very passionate about customer service and making every customer happy.

Julie Woodward brings extensive hospitality, catering, and corporate event experience to her role as Corporate Sales Manager at The Madison Concourse Hotel and Governor’s Club. A longtime member of the Madison Concourse team, Julie previously served as Director of Catering, where she helped plan and execute meetings, conferences, receptions, banquets, and special events of all sizes.

Julie also brings valuable corporate meeting and event experience from her time with CUNA Mutual Group, now TruStage, where she supported corporate meetings, conferences, incentive programs, trade shows, and event logistics. This experience gives her a well-rounded perspective on both the planner and hotel side of the process.

Her background gives her a deep understanding of the hotel, its event spaces, and the many details that make a program successful, from guestrooms and meeting flow to food and beverage, service, and the overall guest experience. Julie is known for her responsive communication, attention to detail, and genuine care for her clients.

In her current role, Julie partners with corporate clients to find the right fit for their meetings, guestrooms, and events in the heart of downtown Madison. She enjoys helping organizations create smooth, well-supported programs that feel professional, welcoming, and memorable from start to finish.

Kylie handles weddings, galas and short-term business for the hotel as well as catering coordination for meetings and events. She enjoys the relationships she develops with new and existing clients and really loves working with wedding couples to bring their wedding day vision to life.

Morgan has been in the hospitality industry for over 20 years, first having started her career in Duluth, Minnesota. After working at the front desk for 11 years she moved to a career in sales and has been a catering sales manager since 2016.

She loves meeting different clients with different needs and building relationships with corporate clients. Morgan loves how friendly and welcoming everyone in Madison is, and loves tailgating with friends for Wisconsin Badger Football.
