First opened in the Spring of 2023, Lake City Books is a new and used book store that moved to a new location in the summer of 2026 from the square to a space on Caroll Street that now includes a wine and beer bar, reading nooks, and an outdoor patio. The Bar features beer from Working Draft, wine from Square Wine Co., and other non-alcoholic options including kombucha. This new space, in addition to the bookshop, makes for an intimate, cozy, space for community gatherings in downtown.
