The Madison Concourse Hotel is looking for full time and part time Starbucks Barista’s. Various shifts available, to include weekends and holidays. This position contributes to the Hotel’s success by providing extraordinary service, impeccable facilities, and superb cuisine to all customers and guests. Responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Acts with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promote the culture, values and mission of Starbucks.
• Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep store operating to standard and to set a positive example for the shift team.
• Anticipates customer and store needs by constantly evaluating environment and customers for cues. Communicates information to manager so that the team can respond as necessary to create the Third Place environment during each shift.

Delivers messages, packages and suitcases and runs errands. Picks up articles for laundry and delivers dry cleaning to Valets cars for guests. Performs basic concierge service at the request of guests.

This position requires exceptional hospitality skills and English language communication skills. Maintains a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all time. Must have the ability to lift up to 45 pounds and the ability to lift and carry heavy packages and luggage, and perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, and kneeling and walk significant distances. This position will be driving the hotel shuttle and will valet guest vehicles so applicants must have a good driving record.

Busperson

Front Desk Agent

The Madison Concourse Hotel is seeking a Front Desk Agent (Guest Services Representative) to join their front office team. This person acts as the face of the hotel to all guests upon arrival. This position interacts with guests and patrons as an ambassador of the hotel. Qualified applicants must be comfortable speaking on the phone, and able to work in a fast-pace environment. The Front Desk Agent is responsible for registering incoming guests and ensuring that they are comfortable in the hotel. This is a full-time position, with shifts four to five days a week. The shifts are usually 8 hours, typically between 7AM-3PM or 3-11PM (5 days per week), but can be mid-day shifts as well, including weekends and/or holidays. Knowing your way around the city and all of its attractions is a must. Previous hotel experience is preferred, but a customer service background is required.

Restaurant Supervisor

The Madison Concourse Hotel is looking for a full-time Restaurant Supervisor at Dayton Street Grille! This candidate needs to be a leader and must have flexible availability, including AM’s, PM’s, weekends, and holidays. In addition, the candidate should possess excellent customer service skills, with a passion for serving upscale food and wine.

Since this position requires flexibility and on a given shift (night) the supervisor could be asked to fill various roles, such as a server, host, or room service attendant. The ideal candidate would have a background in serving, with server/trainer experience preferred. Experience as a supervisor is great, but not a must. Experience with wine service, is a major plus.

The Restaurant Supervisor supports the Dayton Street Grille in providing Extraordinary Service, Impeccable Facilities and Superb Cuisine to our guests! Room Service Attendant (AM’s)

Part Time – AM. Applicants must flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.

This position serves guests food and beverages to their rooms. Follows procedures in taking guest’s order i.e., uses MICROS system correctly and to its fullest capacity. Serves guests’ order promptly and according to established standards, policies and procedures. Smiles! Knows all menu items, their garnishes, contents and preparation methods; relays that information to the guest in a direct, concise way. Checks food before serving it to guests to ascertain that appearance, temperature and portions are correct, and accompaniments are complete. Picks up trays en route back to station and during slow periods. Does all pre-opening, running and after closing side work according to side work lists.
Previous customer service experience strongly preferred. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Excellent communication skills and pleasant personality at must!
